The E.S.T. binding hardware is on either side of the baseplate to allow for fine-tuning stances without unstrapping. A new, cushioned SensoryBED™ replaces the rigid baseplate found on traditional bindings, giving the ultimate in board feel and response. We’re using carbon fibre technology in the Black Death Speed Tribe Series. It’s 100 per cent carbon fibre laminate that we use to increase energy and reduce weight.

The Recco Avalanche Rescue System is located in select boots. This system helps track riders if they are caught in an avalanche. While keeping durability and style top of mind, the driving theme in the creation of this year’s boots was a focus on fit and feel from the inside out. We analyzed how the foot bed goes into the liner, the liner goes into the boot, and then the foot into the boot. From research and feedback from our pro snowboarders, we developed an entirely new liner, the Alpha. The Alpha has unprecedented support and a fit that molds to each rider. It now sits as DC’s most advanced liner.

SCL simply combines one lace and divides the boot into three different action zones at the same time. Instead of having to fool around with laces, SCL allows you to pull the two lace handles and tighten the boots to your preference. | This year we have made all our nylon bas eplates even lighter without compromising strength, durability or vibration dampening. By injecting our baseplate with a new nylon composite, we’ve made them not only lighter but stronger than ever before. To back up our program, we offer a lifetime warranty on all baseplates and heel cups.
This year, we did a focus group with our team riders and got their input on the Team binding. As a response to their request, we developed a new low-back on our Team bindings that allows more versatility in riding and range of motion when slaying the park, rails or whatever other urban poach spots you can find. |
All our straps are now fully adjustable without using any tools. This not only makes it easier for the shop kid to adjust bindings in the store, but for anyone who wants to make a quick adjustment from backcountry to park without going into the shop. These straps come pre-curved, and are convenient and easy to adjust

After 2.5 years (exactly) of testing on lab rats and squidys, we’ve found evidence that people like to play peek-a-boo. |
This season we will be bringing the “peek-a-boo” theory to the mountains by making the focus of the art on the snowboards the base, enabling the rider to jump their DWD snowboard into the air to reveal the base art and yell, ”peek-a-boo.” These joyous cries will surely make a lot of people happy with last season’s “funk” board upset. We will be weighing the success of this theory by the amount of hate mail received. |

The Artec 4.1 is an amazing technical freestyle board with our new Asymmetrical Omega Sidecut, twin-tip shape, and new blunt tip and tail design. The Trinity is the lightest women’s freestyle board with new twin-tip shape, blunt tip and tail design, and patented Advanced DG Top technology for superior lightweight construction.

The world’s lightest board, the Inverse, contains our new Carbon 360 material. The lowest fibreglass laminate is replaced with a full 360 sheet of carbon, enhancing the board’s responsiveness and reducing the overall weight. The new Asymmetrical Omega Sidecut is a more aggressive sidecut along the heel edge that aids turn initiation on the more energy-consuming heelside turn. A less progressive sidecut on the toe edge balances energy needed to turn both ways. |

| Endeavor’s new collection is called the Stormchasers. Scattered across the globe is a group of snowboarders who constantly search for the best snow and terrain. They're relentless, facing all odds in search of the perfect powder day—the type that happens once a year that keeps you energized to chase the storm. It is about struggle, dedication, failures and defeats trumped by successes and victories. Aside from that, we’re producing four models in Vancouver using the signature pre-cured construction, while four models are manufactured in Austria, which feature an amazing clear lacquer coating on the topsheets to avoid fibreglass telegraphing. |
Endeavor is introducing the Colour Series to the lineup this year. We’re excited to introduce this series at a mid price-point, as it is the ultimate twin-tip killer. The series comes with a blank topsheet and four paint markers for you to do your own graphics on the topsheet. Endeavor will be recruiting top artists from around the world to do their own graphics on the boards, and will be featured in a traveling art show across Canadian Endeavor dealers. Kale Stephens has also made the legendary B.O.D. Series, his pro model lineup, due to its free-riding roots and stiffness. Look out for Stephens rocking his board next season. |

| Flow has been getting serious media attention the past year with its deep international team. Not just specializing in bindings anymore, Flow now offers the complete package. The 2007-08 season sees expansion and improvements all across the entire line. |
| Flow has made significant improvements in aesthetics, technical features and overall performance. We introduced a new internal harness system and a new O2 outsole. We offer many of our models with multiple closure systems such as lace, Boa Coiler and Boa Focus. We'll continue with the overwhelmingly successful NXT series and will introduce two completely new technologies: the new M-Base, which is essentially a less expensive Nylon version of the NXT featuring a similar synchronous adjustment and fixed geometry system that made the NXT a smash hit and the all-new Flite-base will feature a similar but simplified adjustment system found on earlier generation Flite bindings. |
Our boards will continue to lead the way in composite technology with the patented Whiskey X technology found in our Infinite WX and Solitude WX. The rest of the line is called Premium series and has been designed to offer the best riding boards for the buck. After the success of our pro team, we’re launching three Signature series models. The strength and stiffness of the composite base plate is increased by the use of glass-filled nylon, anywhere from 15 per cent in the low end, all the way up to 45 per cent in the high end. Our top-of-the-line binding, the Diamond, has a 30 per cent carbon-filled base plate and a 15 per cent carbon- filled highback. The majority of Flux bindings also offer tool-free adjustment.
Flux bindings offer the TMS or Toe Mask Strap. This is a feature that only a couple other brands in the industry can boast they offer. |

| You might think being one of the biggest names in the industry would make Forum a little too complacent, but nothing could be further from the truth. New technology in its board, binding and boot lines, and an huge team tour this past fall, prove that Forum is just as hungry as ever. |
| We’ve worked hard on continuing to progress our cores. One of our new boards, the Seeker, is one of the models built with our latest core development. The Seeker, a super-light, semi-soft twin picks up where the Destroyer leaves off. It also features our new Super Gnar core with Organic MAC. We redesigned last year’s big debut, the MAC (Machined Aerospace Composite) core in our high-end boards to create MAC with balsa wood. The new Organic MAC core offers the advantages of MAC with the feel of an all-wood core. Jargon aside, the Organic MAC makes the boards really light.

In the boot category, we are stoked on a new boot with a vulcanized sole. Available for both men (the Substance) and women (the Melody), it has a simple, low-tech look, but it works like a modern snowboard boot. It’s a great boot for beginners on up, with great value. Our new Speed Lacer system is user-friendly and offers many more options than the BOA system we’ve used in the past. The Speed Lacer shows up on the Kicker boot for the guys, and in the Stampede and Promise for the ladies.

| The Magne-Traction series: the Danny Kass pro model, the Hampus Mosesson pro model, the Barrett Christy pro model, the Riders Choice, the Eleven Up and the Carbon Beam.
Magne-Traction is geometry based around the mechanics of snowboarding. Most boards have a sidecut based on ski theories of one pressure point—the boot—inputting power into the board. Snowboarders have wide stances that make it difficult to apply pressure to the board between the bindings. Magne-Traction directly addresses that issue by abandoning antique ski theories and creating genuine snowboard geometry. |
Magne-Traction has seven specific bumps along the length of a sidecut, each designed with a specific size and purpose. The three between the feet are the deepest, bringing to life the area between your feet. As you move out towards the tip and tail, the bumps become progressively smaller, making the board more catch-free and freestyle-focused. The end result is a board that turns underfoot instead of from the tip and tail, creating a more intuitive, easier ride and skateboard-like feel. Each bump increases edge aggression like a serrated knife. The result is better edge hold with less effort. Park and rail riders can detune the Magne-Traction and still have better edge hold than a regular board. Magne-Traction has been awarded five Good Wood Awards by Transworld Snowboarding. |

Head continues with its Intelligence series of snowboards. The Intelligence chip stiffens the board for increased torsional rigidity and stability. Head is also continuing work on its PX binding line.

| We are continuing with our new PX line of bindings that offer a full contact heelcup, which means it comes with an adjustable heelcup and highback for proper boot-highback positioning. It also features a five-hole disc, which helps you adjust your stance angles with only one turn of the screw. The new disc keeps your base nice and flat, no more concave base. Banana Technology? Magne-Traction? Sounds like the Seattle-based company continues to think outside the box to design and produce top-quality, hand-built snowboards.

| The Lib Tech Experimental Division has been secretly developing Banana Technology for the past two years and has arrived at another major step in the development/evolution of true functional snowboard geometry. Banana Technology, like Magne-Traction before it, begins with the premise that a snowboard is not a ski. Banana Technology replaces camber with rocker curvature between your feet. When you stand on your board, pressure is now applied inward to the edge area at and between your feet as your weight presses out the rocker. The Banana Technology flex pattern is slightly stiffened at the tip and tail to increase pop and stability on big landings. |
Magne-Traction is incorporated into the Banana Technology (as it should be on every freestyle snowboard) to improve edge hold and put even more control underfoot at your balance point. The end result is a board that is loose and catch-free, presses boxes, rails and jibs extremely well with the preset rocker, maintains pop with stiffened tip and tail, and turns easily on hardpack. The built-in rocker curve makes the board float naturally in powder, and the firm nose and tail prevent the board from folding in chunky conditions.

Never Summer’s heritage is in big-mountain boards, but with models such as the Revolver, we’re quickly gaining a reputation for our freestyle boards. On the women’s front, we’ve added two new lengths to the Infinity line, named Top 5 Good Wood in ’07 by Transworld Snowboarding. We’re also introducing the Pandora, an ultra-snappy, twin-tip terrain-park destroyer. For all the mini rippers who spend most of their days in the pipe and park, we’re revealing the new 142 EVO Grom, meant for advanced freestyle riders, with its high-speed stability and durability, which are second to none. |

As sure as snow falling in winter, Nitro always rolls out a solid product lineup year after year—and 2007-08 is no exception.

| The entire line is really exciting. For boards, we’re pumped on the new Eero, MFM and T2 construction. The Eero and T2 share similar design ideas, a low profile nose with our New Progressive tip. It works really well for any type of skate style jibs and presses. Eero’s board is different than the T2 because, as the sizes grow the nose and tail lengths get longer to handle soft snow. The Misfit, Team and T1 will also be solid in our 07-08 lineup. There’s also the new Eero Team boot with the refined TLS lacing system. The women’s Crown boot also utilizes TLS. The TLS system is the fastest and best way to distribute pressure throughout your boot. It also is less prone to coming loose halfway through the day. |
The Raiden lineup for this season has been completely refined and gone through a huge weight loss program. Each binding is 30% lighter than last year. Raiden’s new FTI and FTI AIR chassis comes in three sizes small/medium, medium/large, large. The new Fast Track Interface allows for mirco adjustment to properly place your foot on the board. There are two different bases, the FTI and the FTI AIR.

| The Evolve decks are still an interesting item, and a few changes have been made for the 2007-08 season. The steel edges are stepped up along the length of the board, offering a small gap when riding rails-ledges. This feature gives the rider the ability to hit up everything and maintain sharp edges. New for 2007-08, the stepped-up edge tapers back to base-flat height at the four contact points, making the Evolve deck grip snow like regular flat-base decks. |

| Building off its success from snowboards, Vancouver based Option Snowboards is adding a new lineup of bindings for 2007-08. The new year also sees the introduction of a limited new Option Outerwear line with soft switch technology for MP3 players. |
| The most exciting product in our line would be Canada’s own Chris Dufficy’s pro model. This board has a coffee theme graphic which incorporates coffe stained cores and coffee beans inserted into the cores. We’re not kidding—a real bean! This thing rides like it is caffeine driven.
We have two pro models. The afformentioned Dufficy board and Jordan Mendenhall’s Motive, guaranteed to make your head spin. We also have a board called the Forecast, which is a collaboration by our entire pro team. They had a lot of input on several features like colour-changing inks and multiple-piece diecuts in the base. |
We are bringing back the tried and true Hardwood Power-rail. This feature offers an improved riding feel, improved edge hold and progressive flex pattern, as well as providing superior resistance to side and base impact. Also new is the Fat Freestyle Edge. The thicker edge height is more resistant to damage from rocks or rails amd allows more trips to the tuning shop before the edge becomes too thin. The high chromium and molybdenum alloy steel in our premium Vinson boards does not rust if you accidentally store your board with wet edges. |
