PRODUCTION SPECIFICATIONS

Please note that all ad material supplied on disk will be subject to an output charge of $125.00 per page ($60.00 for B&W)

If sending ads on removable disc; Only the following formats are acceptable for printed web offset:

MAC Format Only
• Quark 4.0 files preferred. Send ALL support images used and all screen AND printer fonts with file (we recommend using Preflight Pro to collect files).
• Quark EPS; send all screen AND printer fonts with file
• Illustrator EPS; version 8.0, images embedded, fonts converted to outlines preferably
• Avoid embedding large raster files into Illustrator. Properly constructed files should never be larger than 100mb (even for a two page spread).
• Photoshop files; version 3.0 or higher, CMYK colour table, minimum 266 resolution, clipping path tolerence level of 3, all layers flattened unless instructed otherwise
• NO FREEHAND FILES
• NO INDESIGN FILES

Font Issues
• Must include all SCREEN and PRINTER fonts
• We DO NOT assume responsibility of minor text reflow due to supplied uncopyrighted/unauthorized usage
• Files may require additional processing due to out of date or application specific stylized fonts, acquired through different manufacturers
• All supplied discs are property of SBC Media unless return postage is prepaid/prearranged

Supplied Film Requirements
• negative film WITH colour proof(s) made from said film;
• right-reading emulsion down, 2400 dots per inch, 133 line screen, conventional screen angles
• all double page spreads to be supplied as a single page film (8 separations of film, not 4)

Production Information
Any ad material received by SBC Media that requires any production work will be assessed the following charges:

Resizing/Digitizing ads or contacting positive film to negative film (includes output of new film)
Colour $200
Black & White $100

Ad Text or Image Changes
Colour $100 minimum charge
Black & White $75 minimum charge

Ad Design
$75 per hour, 3 hour minimum.

Scanning Charges
Photos, logos, images $65 per scan
